Designed exclusively for the international market, the wines in this collection are matured in oak barrels to gain complexity and structure, before being aged in bottles for at least four months. This means they are always in optimum condition when they are launched on the market. We have two variations of the Vine in Flames collection available, designed to meet the unique tastes and preferences of people in different locations.

Feteasca Regala

Vinification particularities

The grapes are harvested at their full potential so that wine gains intense aromas and mineral properties. It is fermented at about 14°C for two weeks. In the process of fermentation the wine is left on the lees applying the technique called batonaj (mixing yeasts in the wine mass to achieve structure and softness).

Tasting notes

Greenish yellow in color, with floral aromas and pleasant fruity notes. A wine with clean acidity, well balanced with flavors of peach and pear.

Food pairing

Can be paired with fish, seafood, grilled vegetables and mushrooms..

Pinot Gris

Vinification particularities

Pinot Gris grapes are naturally pink to pale red in color. In order to preserve the quality and integrity of this wine we have not tried to remove its natural color so we achieved this amazing wine.

Tasting notes

Pale yellow in color, fresh pear aromas on the nose, well-structured and full body, taste of ripe pears with minerals hint in the final.

Food pairing

Chicken, fish, seafood, cheese, creamy pasta dishes

Pinot Noir

Vinification particularities

This wine was aged for one year in French oak barrels in order to develop a unique structure and properly integrate the oak flavours.

Tasting notes

Ruby red in colour, with rich aromas of fresh cherries, a nd a hint of exotic spice. Complex flavours of plum and black cherries and elegant soft tannins, with a lovely lo ng finish.

Food pairing

It can be served with pork, lamb, duck and venison.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Vinification particularities

The grapes are picked up at their optimum level of maturity. Specially selected yeast is used to extract maximum aromas. The wine is matured in oak barrels to gain complexity and structure and it is aged in bottles for at least 4 months.

Tasting notes

Dark ruby in color, with complex aromas of forest fruits. Full-bodied wine with pleasant taste of berries and tannins give its good aging potential.

Food pairing

Good with lamb, pork and beef.

Merlot

Vinification particularities

To achieve its fruitiness we ferment this wine at around 25°C for up to 20 days. After malolactic fermentation is complete we place 70% of the wine in three-year-old American and Romanian oak barrels up to 5 months after which it is blended with the rest of the wine.

Tasting notes

The dark ruby color is in harmony with the intense taste of berries and bitter cherries, with well-defined tannins. The nectar is unctuous and its silky texture and flavor persist long time.

Food pairing

Barbecued meat and pasta with rich sauces.

Origini

This premium brand is created using only the very best grapes, which are manually picked, sorted and aged for at least a year in oak barrels before being aged in the bottle. As the name suggests, the wine has a long history dating back thousands of years - and we're proud to evoke its rich past with the Origini logo - which depicts a wolf with a snake's tail.

This image - the Dacian battle flag - features the snake's tail coiled around a bunch of grapes, referring to the legend of Dacian king Burebista burning the vineyards to reduce foreign interest in the area.

Naturally, we're delighted that he didn't get his wish and that wine connoisseurs around the world are increasingly appreciating the area's exquisite and complex wine.

Sauvignon Blanc

Vinification particularities

The grapes were selected from the best plot, being harvested and sorted with great care. The must was cooled and allowed to settle for 24-48 hours, during which the sediments were decanted. Then it was fermented at low temperatures of 10-14 degrees C for about 4 weeks to pronounce herbaceous characteristics. After fermentation, the wine was left on yeasts for approximately two months, applying periodically the process called batonnage (mixing the yeast in the wine mass) to give complexity.

Tasting notes

Yellow-green color with complex floral aromas and exotic fruits. It has a good acidity, that comes in sustaining the tropical flavors. Well-balanced that develops with elegance a long finish.

Food pairing

Ideal alongside seafood, asparagus chicken or Asian food with lime or coriander.

Oro Manisa

Vinification particularities

This wine has successfully blended the flavours of two different grape types -- the noble french Chardonnay and the proud Tamaioasa Romaneasca. The Chardonnay has been kept in oak barrels for no less than 12 months, so that the wine’s distinct qualities were properly developed.

Tasting notes

Gold yellow in c olour, with intense oak flavours, with notes of acacia and wildflowers. Taste of tropical fruits, and a very light acidity, whic h give the wine fre shness and silkiness.

Food pairing

Chicken, seafood, cheese and pasta dishes.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Vinification particularities

The must was obtained from grapes picked at the end of the harvest, by gravitational method and then fermented for a period of over 15 days in the traditional way. After winemaking process, the wine was refined in oak barrels for 12 months, followed by aging in bottle to perfect the typical varietal bouquet.

Tasting notes

Dark ruby red wine and cherry flavours and fine tobacco notes. Full-body, with intense palate of black fruits and vanilla, with a good balance between soft, natural tannins and those borrowed from oak wood. This wine has a high potential for aging in the bottle.

Food pairing

It is recommended to be associated with beef or venison, marinated in red wine and accompanied by slightly sweet flavours.

Shiraz

Vinification particularities

At Budureasca this variety is well positioned on soils rich in limestone, so we achieve wines with personality and great aging potential. The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels in order to the taste experience.

Tasting notes

Dark ruby color with spicy flavors and bitter accents of black cherries. A fullbody wine with intense plum flavor and berries, with notes of black pepper. Tough, but tanned tannins give elegance to this wine. It has a high potential for aging in bottle.

Food pairing

Recommended with spicy dishes, stakes, sausages, grills and seasoned cheese.

Reserve

Vinification particularities

These wines were aged for 1 year in American oak barriques, followed by a careful selection of the best barrels from which it was obtained this balanced and perfect blend.

Tasting notes

Mixing Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot it has been realized a dark ruby wine with intense aromas of blackberries fruits and spices. Full-bodied with fine notes of cinnamon and cloves, which gives this wine a long, pleasant finish. It has a great aging potential.

Food pairing

May be associated with spicy dishes: stakes, grills and matured cheese.

Noble Collection

The Noble 5 is the first cuvee launched in this range and is made from five noble grape varieties - Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Feteasca Neagra, Syrah and Pinot Noir. We let the wine mature in oak barrels for at least a full year, before these five varieties are crafted together to conjure a unique blend of attributes.

Vinification particularities

Vinification took place separately for each variety. For efficient extraction, the must had a classical fermentation-maceration for over 20 days. Then the wines were matured in French oak barrels for 9 to 12 months. After this period, only the best barrels were selected to create Noble 5. It took 3 months for making the blend, during which the winemaker searched the harmony of the 5 varieties.

Tasting notes

Dark ruby in color and pleasant aromas of cherries, plums, blackcurrants and marzipan. It has an elegant structure, and a fruity taste that develops a long finish. It is a wine that shows its true potential with time.

Food pairing

Dishes based on duck, beef and lamb accompanied by red fruit sauces.

Fume

Vinification particularities

A blend between Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris, this wine was given a lot of attention in order to achieve the perfect balance. Fume has become one of the most popular wines of Budureasca not only because of international competitions won, but its originality.

Straw yellow color, with tropical fruits flavors and a fine touch of oak, creamy taste of passion fruit and pomegranate.

Tamaioasa Romaneasca

Vinification particularities

This wine is one of the most successful wines of Budureasca cellar, winner of international competitions.The oenologist chose to produce Tamaioasa Romaneasca dry because it is a variety that has a greater intensity of flavors that do not need to be supported by the sugar moiety.

Tasting notes

Straw yellow in color, with a soft taste of tropical flowers and elderflowers. A full-bodied wine, with pleasant flavor of fruits and flowers and fresh acidity that prevail a long and soft finish.

Food pairing

Good with seafood, pasta and cheese.

Sauvignon Blanc

Vinification particularities

The grapes were harvested in two stages, the first gave character and the good acidity for freshness, and the second gave the tropical flavors to the wine. The fermentation took place at 14 ° C for 3 weeks, after which the batonnage was applied periodically for another month to provide complexity.

Tasting notes

Straw yellow in color. Olfactory is fresh, but also complex, with papaya, grapefruit and light chamomile notes. The palatine is delicate, with good acidity.

Food pairing

Ideally with seafood, chicken with asparagus or goat and sheep cheese.

Feteasca Neagra

Vinification particularities:

After the selection, destemming and crushing grapes, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks for two weeks at 29°C. Alcoholic fermentation begins after malolactic fermentation, due to which the wine is velvety, with soft tannins. When the wine is finished, a part of the total quantity of wine was aged in oak barriques for 5 months to get the softness and flavours.

Tasting notes

Dark ruby in color, with aromas of blackcurrant and spices that complet the velvety round taste of forest black fruits. Full-bodied, with soft tannins and a good aging potential.

Food pairing

Well accompanies dishes from beef or venison, grilled mushrooms and pasta with rich sauces.

Shiraz

Vinification particularities:

Before fermentation the grapes are given 3 days cold soak on the skins at 10°C which gives this wine its fruity and spicy properties. 30% of this wine is aged in American oak barrels for 1 year before it is blended back with the rest of the wine.

Tasting Notes

Dark ruby in color, with blackberry complex aromas and fine notes of spices. A full-bodied wine, with firm tannins, intense taste of dark chocolate and spices reflected in a persistent aftertaste.

Food Pairing

Recommended with spicy dishes, stakes, sausages, grills and seasoned cheese.

Zenovius

Vinification particularities

Cabernet Sauvignon(70%) grapes were vinified separately from Shiraz(30%). Their harvest began later to achieve more consistent wines and grapes were selected and sorted on special table to maintain a high level of quality wine. 40% of both wines were aged in American and Romanian oak barrels for 12 months. It has a great potential of ageing in bottle.

Tasting notes

Dark red in color, with blueberry aromas and fine notes of spices. A pleasant taste of berries, well-integrated tannins and oak notes on aftertaste.

Food pairing

Barbecued meat and rich pasta sauces Recommended dishes with duck breast, beef or mutton.

Organic Collection

Our Organic wines are produced in limited quantities and are obtained exclusively through certified ecological processes. Budureasca is certified by Austria Bio Garantie, an accredited organization recognized throughout Europe. ECO Certification means that the parcels were monitored for at least 4 years, before certification. The quality of the grapes is carefully checked, the winemaking processes are extensively verified, and the resulting wine is thoroughly controlled by a specialized certification authority.

Rose

Vinification particularities

Obtaining an organic plantation involves treating grapes and vine leaves only with organic products. Substances and chemical pesticides are not allowed. Plant monitoring is very important. The grapes were picked manually and pressed with delicacy. The fermentation takes place at 14°C for 3-5 weeks.

Tasting notes

Dark rose color, obtained by delicate and natural pressing of grapes. Well-structured, the wine has a fresh flavor of summer fruit and an intense taste that is pleasantly satisfied.

Food pairing

It can be served as an appetizer or associated with seafood and different types of cheese.

Merlot

Vinification particularities

Dealu Mare region is recognized for its exceptional Merlot production due to the chernozem which proved to be very favorable for this grape variety. Budureasca has selected for the Merlot vineyard a well-located area, with a unique microclimate. Obtaining an organic plantation involves treating grapes and vine leaves only with organic products. Substances and chemical pesticides are not allowed. Plant monitoring is very important. Organic Merlot is made from Merlot grapes that come from a bio plot, hand-picked and fermented at 16°C for 3 days to get the desired color. The fermentation continues for 8 days at 25°C, resulting in a fruity wine and fine tannins.

A purple wine like nature`s heart, tasting of plums and ripe cherries, spiced with wild spices.
